WR702N no wi-fi connection as AP / not acquiring IP as router

the device is connected to Huawey Echolife HG863 router provided by nowTV on fiber.
As router worked well with the original firmware from 2013. As AP was never capable to connect more than one device at time. Apart from changing admin password is vanilla configuration.
Want to have UPnP / DLNS functionality to stream from iPhone (connected to WR702N) to TV (connected to Huawey) and this is not working in router mode (because of different subnet I guess). As AP my iPhone was capable to stream to TV but again no simultaneous internet connect available with a laptop. Wi-Fi connection established but no surfing. Trying to overcome the AP problem today updated to the latest available firmware.
Now as AP can't obtain a Wi-Fi connection (Mac / iPhone). As router can connect to Wi-Fi (Mac / iPhone) but no internet connection: on the control webpage / WAN have "acquiring data". Suggestions? Thanks.
