Region : Hongkong
Model : Archer C7
Hardware Version : Not Clear
Firmware Version : 3.14.3 Build 150427 Rel.36706n
ISP : Hong Kong Broadband
1000mbps ISP service (WAN) connected and Hardware NAT enabled, but speed test of NAT up and down link falls to around 300 mbps. However, once the router rebooted or unplug and plug the WAN cable, the speed return to around 700-800mbps and lasts for a few minutes. After a few minutes, the speed (up and down link) falls back to around 300mbps. I cannot identify this issue. Please help.

Connecting directly to your modem, you can get about 1000mbps and it is stable?
Did you check the download speed when downloading a file from the internet?

when directly connected to the PC without NAT through C7, it reached the speed of around 700mbps with constant performance.
I just unable to figure out what's the difference between directly connect to PC and connect to C7 via NAT.
I even downgrade the firmware and it did not help at all.

Could you test with Static IP?

Vivian asked whether you get similar results when your PC is connecting directly to whatever your WAN is, without C7 in the middle.

The result is that if the Internet connection is directly connected to client PC, the speed is around 700-800 mbps without such speed drop. I just wonder it is the hardware NAT issue.

if the hardware NAT is disabled, the speed is around 300mbps.

I have the same problem. (archer c7 v2, newest firmware here, ipv4 & ipv6 dual stack from the provider)
ISP speed is 400 mbit/s. After restarting the router i get the full speed over nat ~ 400 mbit/s down.
After some time speed drops to ~ 280-300 mbit/s. With hardware nat deactivated the speed is also ~ 280-300 mbit/s.
Could be a hardware nat issue (hardware nat drops -> software nat) ?
