Hi@OmarZiada,

Thank you for your reply.

May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:

ISP modem—router )))((( client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

It seems the WAN connection of the router is unstable.

Please tell me what is the firmware version of your router?  How to find the hardware and firmware version of my TP-Link device

Here are some suggestions for WAN connection unstable (Router Internet LED turns red/orange occasionally):
    1) Connect a PC directly into your modem to verify if your ISP Internet is stable.
    2) Make sure the Ethernet cable between your modem and the Router is connected properly, replaced old cables with new ones.
    3) Change the DNS Server of the Router, login the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, change the two DNS Servers into 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8How to Change the DNS servers on the wireless router and DSL modem router (New UI)?

    4) Go to Advanced > System > Firmware Update to upgrade the firmware of the Router. How to Upgrade the Firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers?

Hi @OmarZiada,

Thank you for reporting your issue to our community.

May I confirm the unstable issue occurs on the LAN port or WAN port of the router? Is the wireless connection normal?

Please tell me what is the firmware version of your router now? How to find the hardware and firmware version of my TP-Link device

In addition, where were you promised beta firmware?

@Joseph-TP the entire line drops and it doesn't matter if its the wifi or the lan connections to devices. when i'm connected to my laptop via cable and it happens, i cannot ping the router, cannot access the web interface and it takes about 10 seconds till it comes back again. it happens many times a day.

firmware is up to date

Hello @SethStrauss ,

Thanks for contacting our community.

When the internet drops, what is the LED status?

If the router lost WAN connection, please try the suggestions below:

    1) Connect a PC directly to your modem to verify if your ISP's Internet is stable.

    2) Ensure the Ethernet cable connecting your modem to the Router is properly connected, and replace old wires with new ones.
    3) Please change the DNS Server of the Router, log in to the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, and change the two DNS Servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4..
How to Change the DNS servers on the wireless router and DSL modem router (New UI)?

Best Regards.

  @Joseph-TP

Archer AX11000 keeps dropping off on LAN and Internet

I also am having same issue on my Archer AX11000. It is going offline stopping access across my network and prevents accessing the internet across all my devices, wired and wireless.  Access drops for approximately 1-2 minutes then comes back up. Outage time occurrences are inconsistent. Another outage may occur within 10 odd minutes or an hour or two later.

I am currently running the following –

Firmware Version:   2.2.1 Build 20250725 rel.9119(4155)

Hardware Version:  Archer AX11000 v1.0

My topology is –

ISP modem—router some )))((( client devices, most — devices

I have tested if the ISP modem is the problem but it isn’t. I have connected a few of my devices via wired ethernet cable directly from ISP modem to device. During a number of internet outages via the AX11000 to wired/wired devices, the wired devices direct to the ISP modem have rock steady internet access.

I had been running Firmware Version:   1.3.4 Build 20230906  for ages and my Archer had been rock solid (only dumb IPv4 mistyped addresses on my part).

Since I updated to 2.2.1 Build 20250725 rel.9119(4155) via Advanced>System>Firmware Update about two weeks ago I have had the above problem constantly.

The 2.2.1 firmware is not listed on the downloads page so I cannot reflash just in case it was corrupted.

I have tried reflashing back to 1.3.4 Build 20230906 but I just get an Upload error.

I have tried looking at the System Log but it keeps getting wiped. When I check it after an outage the date and time is incorrect being different from that displayed in the System logs page until the very latest entry.

To me it looks like there is a problem with the 2.2.1 Build 20250725 rel.9119(4155) update.

Is there a way to reflash back to the 1.3.4 build?

If I hit the reset button will my Archer default back to the original firmware that I could then upgrade to 1.3.4 (and never go near 2.2.1 again)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated (as the wife “is not happy”!).
