Model: RE700X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.4 Build 20230509 Rel. 78185

Just received WiFi extender for outside office. Currently trying to set this up in the house. I have had it plugged in next to the router, followed instructions for setup, and have now relocated half way between the router and dead zone (light showing blue so in good range).

Issue being my Sky Max Hub won't allow me to split the 2.4ghz and 5ghz channels... It is showing the 2.4ghz as my main network and seemingly won't find the 5ghz channel.

I assume the 2.4ghz won't be good enough for me to work on my laptop with (I need to connect to remote servers etc so need a decent WiFi speed.

How can I force the 5ghz over the 2.4ghz? I'd rather extend just the 5ghz than the 2.4ghz if I can't split them and have to pick just one.

Hi@Lauren222,

Thank you for contacting our community.

Is the error message "No Host Network Connection" pops up after "the apply settings"?  It's probably because the router's 5G is using the DFS channel, please try to disable Band Steering on the router and change the 5G channel to Band 1(36, 40, 44, 48).

Please try different methods to set up the range extender. Here is a full setup video for your reference:
