Hi  @frankz66

Yes. The EAP225-Outdoor supports all features of the EAP115, along with additional 5GHz capability. You can replace it directly.

  @Vincent-TP

Hi, I have already replaced the two APs with the 225 outdoor ones, working in mesh mode between the two APs.
The connection status can be seen from the images, but I have removed them because the tplink technicians advised me against setting up this configuration as it is a mesh for an aerial connection. I must say that everything worked, but I did as I was told, even if I was not very convinced because to achieve this, the two APs were wired but communicated at 5 ghz via mesh.

Hi  @frankz66

I don't quite understand.

They're already functioning as expected, why do you want to uninstall them?

Please give me the support case ID so I would know more details and understand why they suggest this.

hello Vincent, I returned them because as I had previously written I had managed to make them work even if the signal obtained at ghz was -83 DB so low. Despite this everything worked, only that I followed the opinion of the support.

Hi  @frankz66

Thanks for the reply. As for the low signal issue, you may refer to the following:

  1) Move the Mesh EAP closer to the uplink EAP;

    2) Avoid obstacles and wireless interference between the uplink EAP and mesh EAP;

    3) Change the channel of the uplink EAP, please test on different channels;

    4) Choose different uplink EAP units.

    5) Make sure the firmware version of the EAP and the controller are up-to-date.

  @Vincent-TP Thank you. But as I had written I returned them so I can no longer try. The reason why I made them what I had written, that is, not recommended by the technicians. But I ask you if in your opinion, this configuration was good or not.

I bought another TL1201 then paired with the remote headquarters with another TL1201 at 5 GHz. They are wonderful configured as masters and extenders.
