Model: Archer AX1800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.7 Build 20230829 rel.77761(5553)

Hi,

My router was working normally.  Suddenly all my devices were out of range unless I am right next to the router.  If I walk 5 steps, I'm already out of range.  There is no change in my house, everything is in the same place than before the issue.  I tried to reboot, factory restore and nothing happen.

Can you please help with this issue.

Thank you.

Hi@AntonioDiscenza,

Thank you for contacting our community.

Could you double-check what is the model of your router? How to find the model number of your TP-Link device

Here are some suggestions may help you:

  • Please adjust the placement of the router, adjust the antenna angle, etc. to ensure that the router can transmit wireless signals normally:How to place your wireless router for optimal reception and performance.
  • Have other wireless devices (such as microwave ovens, Bluetooth devices) been added recently? Signal interference may have caused the problem. Please keep the router away from electrical appliances and metal objects that can disrupt Wi-Fi signals.
  • Please place the router in open area, avoid putting it inside any box/cabinet/shelf.
  • Please use Wi-Fi analyzer to scan whether there are other routers' WiFi occupying the same channel, change to an idle channel, etc. Changing Channel and Channel Width on a TP-Link Router
