Hello,

 

Im interested in buying this access point. I need it to redirect all users that connect to my external website without any authenticaion. Im doing this for promotional purposes. Last time i messed up by buying ubiqutu and it didnt work. Any help would be appriciated!

Here are the detailed steps:

  • Select the effective Wi-Fi network for portal authentication.
  • Set Authentication Type to Simple Password and set a password for clients. Or select No Authentication if you want to allow clients to access the network without any authentication.
  • Select a time for Authentication Timeout. A client has to reconnect to the network when its authentication expires.
  • (Optional) Enable Redirect and enter your desired website. The newly connected client will be redirected to the specified website.
  • (Optional) Click Click to Edit to personalize the authentication login page.

Hello, thanks for the reply. I was thinking about using captive portal. But my question is will this redirect option work if there is no authenticaion, sicen it didnt work on my unifi access point/

Im sorry just to be perfectly clear, i see that there is an option for redirect, but will the redirect actually work if there is no authenticaion?

Firmware version 1.0.0 Build 20160114 Release 34427
Hardware version AP300 v1.0
its not working properly and need to fix it but ....
