I've installed the windows 8 drivers and they seem to do nothing. My adapter keeps crashing my home router and keeps disconnecting from the wifi or my computer.

Are you using the built-in driver of Windows 10 or driver for Windows 8/8.1?

I did use the built in ones and that didn't work so I installed the windows 8 ones and hasnt made a difference
