Hi,

 

In the previous thread:

you have explained that both versions have the same functionality, but for some reason you are providing different firmwares:

https://www.tp-link.com/pl/support/download/re705x/v2/#Firmware

 

For example I have RE450 v.3 and I'm not able to take andvantage of the EasyMesh, because it's available only for the v.4.

 

So does the hardware version matter or not?

 

I'm wondering if there is anything that will be available in the RE705X v2, but not in the v1. Please let me know, because I have the same isue as the previous customer.

 

I would like to know if the V2 is more stable than V1. Is it improved version or cost optimized as everything currently on the market. Maybe, the truth is that it's better to buy V1 instead of V2?

Thank you for contacting our community.

 

There is not much difference in the functions of the two. At present, V1 may be more fully functional, but V2 may be considered for future new functions, but this is not absolute.
You can also tell me the specific functions you need. If both versions have the functions you need, you can directly ask the local store which version is sold and buy it.
