After a lot of struggling i managed to get my laptop connected to the extender.
Support from TP link was bad.
I searched on the web and did find i had to give the extender a fixed ip en disable DHCP

But no luck with my ipad.
Guess i have to alter some settings in the ipad ?

Any help ?
The ipad sees the extender, but there is no wifi signal icon on the top left corner of the ipad

if i can not find a solution i send the extender back and want my money back
You have to be a nerd to get this thing working, fuck this......

Firmware is up to date?
The extender is using the same SSID as the main router's Wi-Fi or a different one?
On the iPad, try to forget the extender's network and reconnect with the password. Check if there is any error message.
The iPad can connect to the main router's Wi-Fi successfully?

Hi Eagledriver,

I am facing the same issue where I had to manually enter a fixed IP for the laptop. However, for my phone, it doesn't let me save a fixed IP and gateway for this connection. I gave a different SSID to the extender. Could you please tell me how you resolved this problem for your ipad?

Firmware of your WA854RE is up to date?
Your laptop and phone will connect to Wi-Fi of main router?
What kinds of phone do you use?
