Can not access DNS data for dynamic DNS service through router
Hello,
I am having issues with DNS lookup for a dynamic DNS service used for home automation (Home assistant using duckdns). I can not access neither the duckdns web interface nor the home assistant server itself (it is connected to the router including port forwarding etc.). The router is in DHCP mode and directly connected to internet via the ISP fiber connection box.
All other traffic and DNS lookups seems to work, it is only when I try to access the duckdns servers using the router that does not work. DNS lookups are fine when I bypass the router and connect directly to the ISP (computer receives IP and DNS servers directly from ISP), so there are no blacklisting of duckdns at my ISP. Have also tried different DNS servers, both those provided by the ISP, and the Google DNS but they both provide same errors when trying to access through the router.
I have also tried to use the diagnostic tools of the router, and I can not ping neither duckdns nor the IP adress that is given by online DNS lookup tools.
Is there a reason why the router would (silently) block this specific service? Or is there a collision with the internal DDNS services provided by the router (TP-link, dyndns, no-ip etc.)? Neither of those services is turned on in my router.
Thanks in advance for guidance on this topic.
