If you're using screen mirroring on Android (like casting via Miracast or Chromecast), having a stable Wi-Fi connection is key—especially for high-quality video playback from apps like Instagram.

I recently tested Honista, a modded Instagram APK that lets you download media and view content ad-free. When combined with screen mirroring on a TP-Link router, the experience is smooth and lag-free—perfect for sharing stories, reels, or saved videos on a bigger screen.

Tip: For best results, connect both devices (phone + display) to the 5GHz band on your TP-Link router to minimize latency.

Has anyone else tried screen casting apps like this with their TP-Link setup?

Hi,

Using screen mirroring with Android apps like Honista works best when both your phone and display are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network, ideally the 5GHz band on your TP-Link router. This setup ensures smooth playback of videos, stories, and reels without lag. Honista, being a modified Instagram APK, also adds extra features such as downloading media, viewing content ad-free, and checking profiles anonymously, which makes sharing and mirroring content even more convenient.

If you want to explore all the unique features of Honista APK and see how it enhances your Instagram experience, you can Know more. It’s fully safe and adds flexibility for using Instagram on bigger screens effortlessly.

@linkad I’ve actually tried something similar but with thedise’s Instander instead of Honista, and the experience was honestly even smoother. Since Instander also supports ad-free browsing and lets you download reels/stories directly, screen mirroring from Android to my TP-Link router felt seamless. The 5GHz band tip really works, no lag at all when playing saved videos on the TV. If anyone here is into casting Instagram mods, I’d definitely suggest giving Instander a shot alongside TP-Link’s dual-band setup.
