Model: Archer AX12
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.22 (Build 20240311)

o TP-Link team,

I am using the Archer AX12 (US) V1 router with the latest firmware version 1.1.22 (Build 20240311).

Lately, I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue:

The internet connection randomly drops for about 1 minute and then comes back on its own. This happens a few times a day.

Details:

Model: Archer AX12 (US) V1

Firmware: 1.1.22 (Build 20240311)

Connection Type: PPPoE (ISP-provided)

No unusual settings; default DHCP enabled

Happens both in WiFi and LAN

I have already tried:

Rebooting the router

Resetting to factory settings and reconfiguring

Checking with ISP — they confirmed there is no line issue

This issue did not happen on firmware 1.0.25, so I suspect it may be related to the current firmware.

Could you please investigate this or confirm if a fix is coming in the next firmware release?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Shaun_Islam,

Welcome to our community.

For your issue, please try the following suggestions:

    1) When the internet drops, connect a PC directly into your modem to verify if your ISP Internet is stable.
    2) Make sure the Ethernet cable between your modem and the Router is connected properly, replaced old cables with new ones.
    3) Change the DNS Server of the Router, login the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, change the two DNS Servers into 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8
How to Change the DNS servers on the wireless router and DSL modem router (New UI)?
    4) Go to Advanced > System > Firmware Update to upgrade the firmware of the Router. How to Upgrade the Firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers?

Best Regards.

Hello @Pankajuuuuu ,

Welcome to our community.

Please confirm that your router is a US version. Install the firmware in the US version, you can click Archer AX12(US)_V1_1.1.22 Build 20240311.

Generally, if you enable the auto update button on the Firmware Update page. It will get the latest version, and you don't need to manually update the firmware.

Best Regards.
