Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20230119

Hello Everyone.

thank you for stopping by this thread, i bought a new archer ax73 router 1 day ago from this post.

i bought it specifically for the TP-Link DDNS service. to use this service i must log in with tplink ID

now everytime i log in to the router via it's default gateway/ webportal it always shows my tplink id as signed out ( i need to sign in again ) in order for me to open the ddns menu

shouldn't the tplink id always be signed in inside the router ?

what is the cause of this. does this mean that my ddns will stop updating if my ip address get's changed ?

if anyone faced this problem and found a solution for it kindly answer on how to solve this

Hi@Jinno365,

Welcome to our community.

Although you log in to the default gateway/network portal every time, you will notice that the TP-Link ID has logged out. However, DDNS is still working.

The design of requiring a re-login to the TP-Link ID every time you log in also enhances security to a certain extent. However, there is currently no other way to adjust this design.

Best Regards~

  @Joseph-TP

Thank you for your swift reply.

i updated the router to the latest firmware, but the issue continues. i wouldn't have shared my issue if the ddns continues to update. but eveytime the router disconnects from the internet or connects back again the TP-Link DDNS doesn't update. same applies even if the router restarts for any reason.

my main reason for posting is that the DDNS itself breaks the update cycle and in order to update the DDNS i need to re-log in using TP-Link id which then auto logs out and break the DDNS update again. meaning the DDNS update now has become manual ( Router Gateway > TP link ID log in > Update DDNS >> Repeat ).

i would appreciate your input

best regards..
