I just installed a new Archer C7, v2,
firmware: 3.13.34 Build 140606 Rel.54530n)

The Archer replaces an old LinkSys E3000, which died suddenly after many years of faithful service.

Everything worked just fine under the old router.

The Archer is set up with 2 SSIDs:
- 2.4GHz in 11bgn mixed mode as SSID "alpha"
- 5 GHz in 11a/n/ac mode as SSID "beta"

The Archer LAN IP is 192.168.1.1
DHCP server is assigning addresses in the range 192.168.1.100-199

All devices connect with DHCP, although a few of the hard-wired ones use MAC-based address reservation

I have no problem connecting devices to either SSID, and once connected, they can see the internet just fine.

I also have some devices wired to the Archer by ethernet. Again, these devices connect just fine, and can see the internet.

Unfortunately, neither group can see the other. Attempts to ping from a wired machine to a wirelessly connected device show "host unreachable" and ssh returns "no route to host"
Attempts to connect from wireless device to wired behave exactly the same way.

Is there a setting somewhere in the Archer panel that I haven't noticed that has to be enabled in order to bridge between WiFi and wired connections?

I've been stumped on this for several days now.

Check anti-virus software and firewall settings on your clients.
Wired devices can communicate with each other and wireless devices can communicate with each other as well?
BTW, firmware of your C7 is out of date.

Does the router see all the active connection of the devices you are trying to ping?
Are you getting packet loss or not when you ping?
