Archer BE230 v1.0 DHCP issue
I begin use Archer BE230 for my local network. I have home NAS. And i use virtual machines on it. Virtual machines get IP from router DHCP. My problem is that virtual machines with different MAC get same IP. Before i was use Archer C6 and not have this issue. I was check all. With Archer C6 all good. With BE230 i get same ip for 2 different Virtual Machines

Hi @zim555 ,
Welcome to our community.
From the DHCP settings, there is no specific setting for the specific scenario you mentioned.
Usually, we can set a fixed IP directly on the virtual machine network card. It is recommended that you use a fixed IP directly on the virtual machine.
On the router, you can set an address reservation:How to configure Address Reservation on Wi-Fi Routers (new logo)

Forgive me, but the DHCP must ensure that there are not several identical IP addresses on the network. Isn't that its job? I understand that i can set a fixed IP address in a virtual machine or bind a specific IP address to the router with MAC address. But all this does not look like a solution to the problem, but like a workaround. I am not asking to provide me with a workaround for my problem, I know how to do it. I am asking to solve the problem with the incorrectly working DHCP, because this is not normal.
I have a Tp-Link Archer C6 and there is no such problem at all. I specifically checked it too. Please pass on the problem with the DHCP in the Tp-Link BE230 to your engineers, perhaps they can solve this problem at the software level

Hi@zim555,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Is the NAS hardware device you mentioned connected to the network via wired or wireless?
Please provide the MAC address of the NAS and the simulated MAC addresses of the different virtual machines, which are necessary for our remote Wireshark capture.
Or you can run a Wireshark capture during the issue and share the .pcap file with us.
The tech team has been made aware of your issue; they will likely reach out to you via email to continue troubleshooting. Please provide the information above via email.

I can provide Virtual Machines MAC: VM1 - 52:54:00:7f:63:f8 VM2 - 52:54:00:90:34:8a VM3 - 52:54:00:4b:37:c2 But My NAS MAC i only provide in private. And i will try provide pcap dump from one of Virtual Machines from starting system.
