Hi. I have just purchased TP-Link PA411KIT and would just like confirmation re a speed issue. I have an Acer Aspire 5750 which uses a Broadcom Gigabit Netlink Ethernet Adapter. The reason I am asking this question is that The max speed I can get from the 411 is 100Mbps. In the adapter settings, it is set to auto and the 411 unit is plugged into a TL-WR840N router 300M. the network card in my Acer is capable of 1000Mbps. If I plug directly into my VM Superhub 2ac, I get 162Mbps. However, when I connect to the powerline, I get between 60-70Mbps.

I would be grateful if someone could confirm how to achieve what my connection should be. Thanks

PA411 has a 10/100 port. Thus the maximum speed possible is 100Mbps....the real speed is somewhat lower depending on conditions. 60-70Mbps sounds about right, actually pretty good.

Your TL-WR840N also has only 10/100 ports.
