Model: Archer AXE5400
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2 Build 20250107 rel.52099(4555)

My Qnap TS-230 NAS drive is directly connected to the Archer AXE5400, but it is not being recognised.

Is there a setting in the AXE 5400 that needs to be changed to allow it to recognise the NAS?

  @Laurencewhite

Hi,

Many thanks for the reply Joseph. However, it appears it was a faulty Ethernet cable, as the NAS is now being recognised after I swapped the cable.

Cheers

Hi@Laurencewhite ,

Welcome to our community.

May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:

ISP modem—router )))((( client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

Have you tried a different NAS device?

To access the NAS from your local network, you need to connect the NAS to your router via a wireless LAN or Ethernet cable.
To access the NAS remotely, you may need to open a UDP/TCP service port for the NAS on the router and then access the NAS remotely using a public IP address. Please review the following FAQ for configuration:
