Access point and Router
Access point and Router
Hello,
I realize my setup mixes access points and routers, but I’m posting here as it seems the most relevant thread.
Issue:
From time to time, I lose internet access even though my Wi-Fi network remains active.
Setup Overview:
- AX73 located in the basement
- RE500X positioned on the stairs
- All devices are configured using EasyMesh
- AX58 in the garden, set up as an access point (interestingly, it shows up as ArcherAX53 when in AP mode), connected via RJ45 backhaul to the AX73
My goal is to extend network and Wi-Fi coverage to the backyard, which is about 40 meters from the house. Occasionally, the EasyMesh connection gets disrupted, though this is rare. All access points have permanent DHCP leases.
Symptoms:
- Internet connection drops intermittently, even though the AX73 (connected to broadband) shows no disruption.
- Wi-Fi remains active during these drops.
- Sometimes the AX58 appears as “Offline” or “No IP address” — I’m unsure if this is the cause or a result of the issue.
- The RE500X occasionally disappears from the AX73’s mesh device list, even though it continues to function. It reappears sporadically.
Any help will be appreciate.
