Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20250210 rel.53421(4555)

Hello,

I realize my setup mixes access points and routers, but I’m posting here as it seems the most relevant thread.

Issue:
From time to time, I lose internet access even though my Wi-Fi network remains active.

Setup Overview:

  • AX73 located in the basement
  • RE500X positioned on the stairs
  • All devices are configured using EasyMesh
  • AX58 in the garden, set up as an access point (interestingly, it shows up as ArcherAX53 when in AP mode), connected via RJ45 backhaul to the AX73

My goal is to extend network and Wi-Fi coverage to the backyard, which is about 40 meters from the house. Occasionally, the EasyMesh connection gets disrupted, though this is rare. All access points have permanent DHCP leases.

Symptoms:

  • Internet connection drops intermittently, even though the AX73 (connected to broadband) shows no disruption.
  • Wi-Fi remains active during these drops.
  • Sometimes the AX58 appears as “Offline” or “No IP address” — I’m unsure if this is the cause or a result of the issue.
  • The RE500X occasionally disappears from the AX73’s mesh device list, even though it continues to function. It reappears sporadically.

Any help will be appreciate.

Hi@Reginfo ,

Thank you for getting back to me.

Are you looking for a stable Mesh network? If you have just bought your EasyMesh device, the Deco Mesh system is indeed a good choice to replace the EasyMesh system.
At present, Deco Mesh is more convenient than the networking of different types of EasyMesh devices in expanding the network or functional application.

However, Deco Mesh and EasyMesh technologies are inconsistent. If you want to use Deco Mesh devices and EasyMesh devices together, there may be incompatibility, resulting in the inability to form a Mesh network.

For details, you can refer to: Can Deco MeshOneMeshEasyMesh and Omada Mesh products work together?

Hello @Reginfo ,

Welcome to our community.

The satellite router is connected to the main router via an Ethernet cable. If the connection is unstable, I think you could compare different cables.

As for RE500X sometimes disappearing from the client list, do you mean the router's Web UI or the client list on the App?

  @Joseph-TP

"RE500X sometimes disappearing from the client list" -> From the  router's Web UI (AX73)
I'm thinking to go for Deco XE75 Pro to replace AX58 and RE500X as my network still collapsing.
