Hi All.

 

I have the Deco X55 on the latest firmware, it appears I need to expand the network, they only come in a set of 3. I was wondering if there are other Deco models  that I can buy to expand the network, my requirement is pretty simply I just want WIFI 6 coverage everywhere and don't want to loose speed.

 

I do have Cat 6 cabling around in most places, however the cat 6 cabling is only 1 port, so I can make it connect to the ISP router or perhaps make it connect to the DECO main unit. Which one is more reliable ?

Se if you have X50 sold in your region, it is similar to X55 and is sold in 2-units pack. Another option is Deco X50-POE, it is sold in single units and positioned as one-unit extension for existent X50/X55 Deco mesh.

 

I would recommend connecting Ethernet cable from new Deco to Main Deco. That should work with any Deco mesh configuration.

You can only connect Satellite Deco with Ethernet cable to ISP Router if you run Deco mesh in Access Point mode. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/kb/detail/334
