OC200 ver: 5.15.20.39 do not automatically apply configuration to AP
OC200 ver: 5.15.20.39 do not automatically apply configuration to AP

I have an OC200 that has been updated to the latest version 5.15.20.39 and cannot
automatically apply the configuration to APs like in the previous version. Please tell me how to fix it. In the previous version 5.14.32.56, when I added a list of allowed MAC addresses to the list, the APs automatically received the new configuration, and new devices with the added MAC could connect normally. Now I have to go to each AP and select "Force Provision" for that AP to receive the new configuration, and other APs must do the same for the system to receive all the new configurations Thank you.

Hi @NTHAIS
Thanks for posting here.
Firstly, 5.15.20.39 is not the latest firmware for the OC200. It's 5.15.24. Below is the download link for OC200 V1:
https://static.tp-link.com/upload/firmware/2025/202507/20250720/OC200v1_un_1.36.7_20250707_rel72474_up.zip
What's the firmware and hardware of the EAP units you are using?
I am afraid they are not the latest either, and they are not fully adapted to the latest Omada controller. And this may be the cause of the situation.

I login to OC200 there is update notification or update or from that notification always, I'm using EAP 225-outdoor hardware version v3.0 and v1.0, software version 5.1.11 and 5.11.92

Hi @NTHAIS
It appears the latest firmware version hasn't been detected in your region yet.
You can manually upgrade your OC200 controller on the Global View >Settings > System Setting:
Scroll down to the bottom, you will see the option.
May I know where did you get the 5.1.92 firmware for EAP225-outdoor V1?

I have updated to version 5.15.24.21 but it did not fix it. I was sent version 5.1.92 by TPlink support to support testing the error of AP automatically losing connection with OC200.

I too am getting lots of configuration failures with my EAP650 units on controller 5.15.24 on OC300
Almost anything network/interface/vlan, IP range, and especially EAP ACLs that i change results in a configuration failure and the need to either reboot the controller, EAP or do a force provision. EAP650 v1 units are running the 1.30 beta

Hi @GRL
Thanks for your feedback.
Just to confirm, this only occurs on the latest firmware version of the OC300, right?
May I ask whether this is a consistently reproducible issue or an intermittent one? If it's intermittent, could you please provide the approximate frequency of occurrence?

Hi @NTHAIS
Thanks for the reply.
We will keep an eye on this kind of feedback.
In the meantime, would you please test what GRL mentioned and let us know the results on your side? Thank you in advance.

Very consistent
Any changes to any network interfaces that also exist on the EAPs with a tagged SSID results in a configuration failure after a few minutes of making the change. Change any EAP ACL and in a few minutes - configuration failure.
I have had the odd configuration failure on EAPs in the past on previous versions, but since the 5.15.24 controller update its been much more annoying and consistent.
All my EAPs are on one switch SG2428LP running the latest fw, all have the same configuration of SSIDs, all have sequential management IPs,, same networking settings - and its not always all of them thet get a config fail, sometiems jsut one or two of the 6.
They never go in a disconnected state, wifi is always working fine, connectivity is fine, they just fail at config changes.

Hi @GRL
Thanks for the reply.
We didn't have this kind of issue in our local lab.
I had created a support ticket for further follow up, please have a check, the case ID is TKID250812213.
