Model: Archer BE550
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I recently bought a BE550 to use as a WiFi and LAN router with my NE200 outdoor modem.

I set up an allowlist, naturally so I could only let the devices I desire into my network. However I encountered two major problems with the allow list feature:

1. The allowlist applies not only to my main network, but also my guest network. In my old Archer MR-600 this wasn't the case, so I didn't even think of the possibility of such function. Why can the user not change whether or not the allow list applies to the guest WLAN?

2. When connecting devices to the LAN ports on my router, the allow list is completely bypassed, so if an unwanted device plugs into my router's LAN port, it can freely do whatever it likes in my network.

Hello @Suastamoine,

Thanks for contacting our community.

Have you set the Allow List via the Tether App? Please check if you have enabled the Guest Network Exception.

In Allow List Mode, your guests can still connect to the Guest Network without being affected by the Allow List mode if you enable Guest Network Exception.

For wired clients, have you connected them to NE200-outdoor?
