[BUG] DHCP domain field bug while Archer AX23 in AP mode

I’m using an Archer AX23 v1.2 as a node in my EasyMesh network (Archer C6 v4 is a controller in AP mode), positioned behind a Technicolor FGA2235 provided by the ISP.
In the syslog of the ISP router, I see (a lot of) continuous warnings like this:
- dnsmasq-dhcp: Ignoring domain 2 for DHCP host name ArcherAX23-v1
This message repeats every 30-40 seconds. It appears that the AX23 is sending an invalid DHCP Option 15 (Domain Name = “2”) when requesting or renewing its lease.
Expected behaviour:
- The AX23 should not send an invalid domain name in DHCP requests, especially in AP mode.
Firmware:
Latest available (1.1.1 Build 20240822 Rel. 42048), but the issue persists.
Impact:
The functionality is not broken, but the constant warnings fill up the ISP router logs unnecessarily.

Hello@Feriman ,
Welcome to our community.
The Satellite router sends these reports every half minute to ensure proper communication with the frontend. Therefore, this is normal behavior.
If it doesn't affect usage, I recommend not worrying about it for now.
Best Regards.

Thanks!
It only stood out because 90-95% of the logs in the router provided by the ISP are about this, making it difficult to find the information that is actually important.
If this function can be improved, is it conceivable that it will be improved in the future?

Hello@Feriman ,
Regarding log reading, is this a daily requirement for you?
Typically, if a device experiences an anomaly, we will collect logs and update them to our engineers. Engineers use specialized tools to read the log information, which helps with problem analysis.
If the above report ratios affect the efficiency of log analysis, I believe our developers may optimize this in the future.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any other log-related requests.

Hi @Joseph-TP,
I just want to clarify that I regularly check my ISP router's logs as part of my daily work, and this message is essentially flooding them. Because of that, it’s difficult to spot real issues amongst them.
It would be great if the AX23 firmware could stop sending this strange domain value in AP mode, or at least provide an option to prevent warnings from being triggered all the time.
For comparison: there’s also an AX53 v2 in my setup (same satellite role), and that one behaves normally without spamming the logs.
I really hope you can forward this to the development team for a fix.
Thanks a lot!
Feriman
