IP Statistics
In the TL-R605 router, under Traffic Statistics > IP Statistics, there is a table that shows traffic for all IP addresses in the network.
The question is whether a similar table will also be available in the Omada Controller, or if only GeoIP and DPI data will be used.
In Omada, DPI and GeoIP are indeed available, but the data is aggregated – for example in Insight → Clients or Statistics → Traffic Analysis, where you can see summary traffic data. However, this is not always sufficient. What is really needed are the actual, detailed statistics, such as:
-
which IP address the traffic is coming from,
-
which country the connections are directed to,
-
the volume of this traffic over time.
It would be very useful if, in Global View > Security, a visualization could be added in the form of a map with real-time connections.
Even better would be the ability to react quickly – for example, by blocking a specific IP address with a single click, automatically adding it to an IP Block group and applying an ACL rule.
Such a feature would greatly improve the ability to perform thorough analysis and immediate response in case of unwanted or suspicious traffic.
