Model: Archer BE3600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.4 Build 20250519 rel.47087(4555)

Hello, I purchased the BE3600 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router and have successfully set it up. My internet connection comes via a 5G outdoor antenna, and I connected this signal to the WAN port on the BE3600. From there, it goes to the individual devices – which also works without any problems right away. Wi-Fi is also working perfectly – except for one little thing: the BE3600 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router reports NO INTERNET or ‘poor network’ under ‘Advanced – Network’ in the interface... and the ‘Internet’ light on the router is constantly RED. So everything works (all devices are online, speedtest shows ful speed) – and after the initial installation (I hadn't paid attention to the lights on the router at that time), it immediately suggested a firmware update – so it must have found the internet first.

So my question is: what do I need to or can I set to make the router understand that it has the internet from the upstream device ... which it also passes on to the devices in the network via LAN or Wi-Fi without any problems? Because currently, I can neither check the firmware nor link the TP Link ID in the BE3600 interface – the device reports "... make sure you are connected to the internet and try again‘ or ’Oops... The device is offline. Please check the WAN and network configuration to make sure the appropriate settings are entered correctly."

I am grateful for any advice; apart from this minor issue, the device works perfectly.

  @Prakarhta ,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Strangely, the network is still working even though the internet light is red.

Please change DNS for a try: How to Change the DNS servers on the wireless router and DSL modem router (New UI)?

If the same situation happens again next time, please provide more details here:

1. Network topology. For example, ISP modem—router—main deco )))((( client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

2. Screenshots with error message.

Hello@HardRocki ,

Welcome to our community.

Referring to Archer BE3600(EU)_V2_User Guide, red light means 'The router’s Internet port is connected, but the internet service is not available.'

What is the modem or the network source of the router?  Can you connect your clients to the front modem?

Generally speaking, if you need to manage your router through the Tether app, you need to ensure that your network is correctly connected to the cloud server. From your description, the router isn't connecting to the cloud server.

Also, have you used other routers before? Has this happened to you?

  @HardRocki This happened some times here but only when my link went down then up. It never happened consistently if service doesn't fail.

  @Joseph-TP

Thank you very much for your prompt replies and assistance.

The hint about changing the DNS worked!

Yieppieeh! As soon as I confirmed it, the internet was found in the routers main menu and the red light is now constantly white.

Thank you very much – I wouldn't have thought of that myself. Although everything worked fine (except for this one thing), I'm very happy that it's now fixed – thanks to your help @Joseph-TP

Hi@HardRocki ,

Cool! I am so glad that changing the DNS settings made such a big difference! Everything appears to be back to normal and working as expected.
Please keep an eye on the router's performance and contact us with any updates.wink
