Whatever I set the IP lease time on my ISP's device, my AX72 receives it correctly, but still renews every ~32 seconds. This has to be a bug, right? Other devices are correctly respecting and renewing only when needed. I

As somewhat suggested in another post, even though it had a reserved IP in my main router/gateway, I had to manually set the same static IP in my AX72, and this stopped the constant renewals. DHCP change from Auto to Off didn't help. So, to anyone in the future using it in AP Mode and having constant IP Renews long before the lease time, just set a static IP in the AX72 itself.

Thank you, it's hard knowing what exactly to search for, I did not find that specific post when looking for a solution, but I did find others with the same problem. It's a shame this is an old issue and still unresolved, even if it probably doesn't affect performance and not at all security I would guess they would fix it after years.

2025 and it's still present as a bug on many tp-link routers. I bought an AX11000 and AX90 in the past and both have this issue and now I have to set a static IP which is annoying because I have DHCP reservsations. It's crazy that TP-Link develop new subscription features but don't fix long standing bugs.
