The absence of the Dedicated IoT Network feature on the TP-Link Archer AX73 router.
Dear TP-Link Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to express my concern regarding the absence of the Dedicated IoT Network feature on the TP-Link Archer AX73 router. I recently purchased this model after comparing it with others like the AX72, which clearly supports IoT network segmentation and device isolation. Given that the AX73 boasts superior hardware specifications, I was surprised to discover that it lacks this crucial functionality—even after updating to the latest firmware.
The ability to isolate IoT devices on a separate network is essential for maintaining security and performance in a smart home environment. Many users, including myself, rely on this feature to prevent potential vulnerabilities from affecting the main network. It’s disappointing to see that a lower-tier model includes this feature while the AX73 does not.
I kindly request clarification on the following points:
-
Is there a planned firmware update that will introduce the Dedicated IoT Network feature to the AX73?
-
If not, could you please explain the rationale behind excluding this feature from a higher-end model?
-
Are there any recommended workarounds to achieve similar network segmentation for IoT devices on the AX73?
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response. Enhancing the AX73 with this feature would greatly improve its value and usability for many customers.
Thank you for your time and support.
