Tether app
Hi there everyone,
Is it only me or the tether app is going slow a little bit these days.
I have a specific issue, and that is the VPN Client setting on the app, when i turn it on and adding a client to use VPN traffic, it works great but after deleting the user from the client list, the user itself is still using VPN traffic while being deleted from authorized clients list. This issue isn't happening on the web page on the browser.
If it's possible to resolve these slowing bugs and thr VPN Client issue, thanks a lot.
I trust TP-LINK with this like i trusted them with the firmware update of the AX53 released today after reporting a bug.

Hello @ChrisRed29 ,
Welcome to our community.
Have you updated the Archer AX53 to 1.5.2, and then the App starts running slowly?
For failing to delete the VPN via the Tether App, have you tried a different phone to test? Or, try removing and reinstalling the app.
Also, could you tell me what type of the VPN it is?

Hi there,
The problem happened before the firmware update to 1.5.2.
The failing concern deleting a client (no mather what device i use, smartphone, PC ...) from the client list that can use VPN traffic. And also this issue as i said previously can be temporarily be resolved by disabling the VPN Client feature, at that time all clients will use normal traffic not the VPN traffic.
I tried uninstalling the app and install it again the first time i noticed the issue but it's the same behavior.
For the VPN type, i use an OpenVPN file from NordVPN (the location of VPN country doesn't matter) and also VPN credentials inside the AX53 router and it connects.
Help please, thank you.

Hi @ChrisRed29 ,
Sorry, I didn't notice you mentioned the VPN client feature.
I've reported this issue to the relevant department and am still waiting to replicate it. I'll reply if there's any update.
Best Regards.

Hi @Joseph-TP ,
The setting i'm talking about is "VPN Client" not "VPN Server" if you see what i mean.
This feature (VPN Client) allows to use a VPN provider's OpenVPN file (.ovpn) to be able to use it in a different VPN client like OpenVPN or inside a firewall like pfSense or inside a router like the AX53 that has this feature.
So the issue i'm facing is not with "VPN Server" because i'm using tailscale to access my router outside ny home.
