Model: Archer BE230
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20250804 rel.79639(5553)

Hi all,

After the automatic firmware update on my TP-Link Archer BE230 today, my Seagate Expansion Portable Drive 4TB (2.5 inch) is no longer recognized on the router's USB port. The drive powers on and spins, but it doesn’t show up in the USB storage section of the router interface.

I’m wondering if there’s any way to fix this without downgrading the firmware, since my laptop doesn’t have an Ethernet port to connect directly to the router.

Has anyone encountered this issue with the latest firmware and found a workaround? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hello @HighOctane ,

Welcome to our community.

Did the Seagate Expansion work before you update the firmware?

Please reboot the router to refresh the network.

Please try a different Hard drive for comparison.

Also, test the Seagate Expansion on other clients, like the PC to see if it can be Recognized.

If it doesn't work, please take screenshots with error message and send them here.
