Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20250717 rel.40826(4555)

Hello, I have an AX73 router at home. When I initially set up the router, I enabled both OFDMA and MU-MIMO through the web interface. Recently, however, I noticed a discrepancy in the Wi-Fi settings displayed in the Android Tether app. In the app’s advanced Wi-Fi settings, the MU-MIMO indicators appear turned off. Manually toggling them on in the app has no effect on the web interface.

I also tried enabling only OFDMA in the web interface, but the Tether app still shows the MU-MIMO indicators as active. This leads me to believe that the Tether app may not accurately reflect the router’s actual settings.

Android Tether App version: 4.12.5

AX73 FW version: 1.2.1 Build 20250717 rel.40826(4555)

Hello @furkanozbay ,

Welcome to our community.

First, please update the Tether App to the latest version.

Every time you enable and disable OFDMA and MU-MIMO on the App, is it through the local network? That is, the Tether App is connected to the router via wireless.

Have you tried to reboot the router, refresh the App page after you enable or disable OFDMA and MU-MIMO?

If you have a different phone or tablet with other operating systems, please check if the settings still won't sync.

Besides the settings you mentioned, will other settings be synchronized on the App and Web?

Hello @Joseph-TP,

I’ve already mentioned that I’m using the latest version of the Android Tether app available on Google Play.

Yes, I’ve tried changing all the settings both via the web UI and the Tether app. Sometimes, my phone connects to an access point that’s linked to the AX73 through an Ethernet cable.

I don’t usually reboot the router unless it’s necessary, but I do refresh the web UI pages or restart the Tether app occasionally. Most of the settings stay in sync between the two, but there’s one issue with the 5GHz channel selection.

In the web UI, the maximum channel I can select is 128. However, in the Tether app, it lets me choose up to channel 140. The problem is, if I select a channel above 128 in the app, the router actually operates on a channel between 36–48. The web UI still shows it as channel 140, but when I check with a Wi-Fi analyzer app, I can see that it’s not correct.

Interestingly, in one of the earlier firmware versions, the web UI displayed the correct channel (36–48) instead of 140. So, it seems like this bug was introduced in the most recent router update.
