Hi, I'm using a ax3000 extender for my pc ethernet connection with cat6 cable. But the speed is capped at 100mbps.

I wonder if its because the extender is on wireless connection, or its something to do with my provider?

Thank you

Hi, since your extender does have a Gigabit LAN port, the 100 Mbps link speed you see is not normal. In most cases this happens when the cable doesn’t make full contact (only 2 pairs working instead of 4), or when the PC’s network adapter is forced to 100 Mbps instead of auto. I’d suggest trying another Cat6 cable and making sure your adapter is set to auto negotiation. Once the link comes up at 1 Gbps, the speed should no longer be capped at 100

Thanks for the help Vendex, I bought a new cable today and it's solved now. Pretty sure the old one was damaged. Cheers
