Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.2 Build 20250603 rel.65464(4555)

Hi Community

I updated to V2_1.4.1 Build 20250522 earlier in the year. Everything was working fine, then suddenly in the last week airplay videos from phone to Apple TV have stopped working. Everything is on the same updated version from the week before and nothing has changed in the last week.. Except, the Firmware Version I notice is now 1.4.2 Build 20250603 rel.65464(4555). I didn't install it, but auto update is turned on. So I suspect this firmware auto installed last week and started causing my problems.

Does anyone know..

  1. When was this version (1.4.2 Build 20250603 rel.65464(4555)) released?
  2. Why is it not listed in Download for Archer AX6000 | TP-Link United Kingdom page?
  3. Can I roll back from 1.4.2 Build 20250603 rel.65464(4555) to V2_1.4.1 Build 20250522?
  4. Router is asking to update to Latest Firmware Version: 1.4.3 Build 20250725 rel.18118. This is also not listed Download for Archer AX6000 | TP-Link United Kingdom page. Should I update to this?
  5. Anyone else have video Airplay issues?

Send a reply below if you have an answer to any of my questions.

Thanks,

Hi,

Normally TP-Link allows firmware to be downgraded if only the minor version number is different. In this particular case you should be able to roll back to a previous firmware version that also starts with 1.4, but you can't roll back to, for example, a version that starts with 1.3 or lower.

Regional TP-Link websites are often not updated regularly. When looking for firmware suited for European "EU" models of TP-Link's devices it is best to go to their "Worldwide/English" webpage.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-ax6000/v2/#Firmware

The notes for firmware version 1.4.3 mention "Fixed the bug of incorrect threats blocking". Not sure if this indicates that airplay might have been misidentified as a "threat" by firmware version 1.4.2?
