AX55 V1 Firmware 1.4.1 QOS massive latency / Bufferbloat - Can I rollback?
AX55 V1 Firmware 1.4.1 QOS massive latency / Bufferbloat - Can I rollback?
I recently updated to firmware 1.4.1 (from 1.3.3)
Now I am seeing huge latency spikes when upload / download testing using speedtest.net and waveform bufferbloat tester (which i was scoring A+ on). I have had an internet speed increase so my QOS is now set to 400 down / 40 up. But even using 100 down / 10 up is showing increased latency from what I was used to from the previous firmware.
I noticed another similar issue posted on this forum Archer AX55 V1 bufferbloat - Home Network Community.
I saw that the firmware update for version 1.4.1 said it can't be downgraded. So I would like to know is it possible / how I can safely downgrade to v1.3.3? I have the firmware file from the website and I can upload it through the router firmware upgrade interface but I don't want to brick it.
Please advise.

Hi @Platinum85 ,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Some users have confirmed that the beta firmware restores QoS to normal operation. And you can roll back to the previous official version after you install the beta firmware.
If you also don't want to try the beta firmware, we also respect your choice.
Is IPTV streaming and online gaming running simultaneously? If not, you can currently disable or enable the QoS feature as needed to ensure both activities run stably.
