Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.4 Build 20240306 rel.66339

The router shows the network devices/clients which are wireless as wired, for example, my mobile phone or a smart wifi switch is displayed as wired.  In addition, I have connected the Deco E4R as access points to extend wifi coverage in the house, if this information is going to be helpful. How do I correct that the router identifies the devices/clients correctly?

This happens because your Deco E4R units are connected as access points. When devices connect through them, the Archer AX53 only sees the Deco unit itself as the wired client and cannot identify each end device behind it. That’s why your phone or Wi-Fi switch is displayed as a wired client. This is normal when mixing Deco with Archer models without EasyMesh. To have the router display the devices correctly, you would need to use EasyMesh-compatible devices, because only in EasyMesh the client information is synchronized across all units

  @Bongz

As said above,

I have a few ax72 around my property and depending where my wireless devices connected to my main unit shows them as wired devices,

If you was to go onto your AP client list it would show the devices that are connected to that are where they should be on what band ect but on mine it shows what devices are connected to the other units are wired

Hello @Bongz ,

As a supplement, please update firmware for the Archer AX53 V2 and Deco E4R to latest version.
