I bought the Tri-Mesh System and I have this strange issue that after 7 days almost exactly it stops seeing the internet from my fibre modem.

My Fibre device has a WAN port and a cable is from their to the TP-Link.

Noting my TP-Link has auto selecting WAN ports, and I am unable to actually assign one of the specific ports to be WAN.

 

So eveyrthing is good for one week, then the Internet on my network dies and I have to reset the TP-Link units again and then it works for the next 7 days.

 

There is definitely nothing wrong with my home Internet as plugging another router in (taking out the Deco's) works fine.

 

I even tried swopping around any of the three Mesh TP-Links in the house making each one primary to see if it was a device issue.

 

Would love it if anyone has anything for me to try.

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that your Deco Mesh system (Deco XE75) loses Internet connectivity almost exactly every 7 days, requiring a reset to restore the connection, even though your fibre modem and Internet service are working fine with other routers.

Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

1. Check your ISP connection:
• Connect a PC directly to your fibre modem to confirm that your Internet is stable and working when the Deco is not in use.

2. Reboot devices:
• Restart both your fibre modem and the main Deco unit when the issue occurs.

3. Check Ethernet connections:
• Try using a different Ethernet cable between your modem and the main Deco, or use another Ethernet port on the Deco.

4. Adjust DNS settings:
• Make sure your phone is connected to the Deco Wi-Fi network.
• Open the Deco app, go to MORE > Internet Connection > tap 'IPv4 Connection' > DNS Address.
• Select 'Manual' and enter '8.8.8.8' and '1.1.1.1' as the primary and secondary DNS servers.

5. Mac Clone (if needed):
• If your PC has Internet when connected to the modem but the Deco does not, try configuring Mac Clone on your Deco. Instructions can be found here: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2925/

6. Additional settings to check:
• In the Deco app, go to MORE > Advanced > IPTV/VLAN. If the IPTV port is enabled, do not use it to connect to your ISP modem.
• Go to MORE > Advanced > WAN Port. If this feature is enabled, make sure you are using the correct Ethernet port on the Deco to connect to your modem.
