Model: TL-WR3602BE
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.1

Trying to connect a TL-WR3602BE using the OpenVPN Cloud Connexa option.  I'm not sure if this is even a option or not.  I downloaded the .ovpn file for a user, and attempted to connect but it is never successful whether I put a username with password, just the username, etc.  nothing seems to ever connect.  Oddly I downloaded the .ovpn file for the Connector that I have setup in Cloud Connexa and when I used that .ovpn file it did connect, but also knocked my Connector offline that provides access to local resources on my network when remote.  I've also used the OpenVPN client on numerous mobile devices and that connects as the user without issue.  I just cannot get the TL-WR3602BE to connect as the user which is my end state.  I'm just trying to figure out if I'm trying to get something to work that isn't supported at this time or if it is and I'm just missing something.

@Joseph-TP I found out where I went wrong, with CloudConnexa from OpenVPN to leverage one of the TP-Link Travel Routers to connect to it I needed to configure it not to use a User Based connection but to use a Connector Based connection.  Once I deleted the user account I was trying to use for it and configured it to be a second connector it connected without issue and acted like I had hoped.  Now I can leverage the Travel Router to allow devices connected to it to securely connect to resources on my Home Network, as well as my Internet Traffic egresses through my home connection when traveling.

Hello @ecardanha ,

Welcome to our community.

First, please confirm that you have set up the OpenVPN client correctly. Most third-party VPN providers use the OpenVPN protocol. To set up the VPN Client on your router, obtain the following from your VPN provider:
   • VPN username and password
   • VPN server address
   • OpenVPN configuration file (.ovpn)
   • Test the .ovpn file on your computer first to ensure it works.
   • Log in to your router’s management interface and go to Advanced > VPN Client > Enable OpenVPN Client.
   • Import the .ovpn file and enter the required credentials.
   • Select which client devices on your network should use the VPN tunnel.

Note: If your VPN provider provides you with multiple OpenVPN files (.ovpn, .crt, .key, etc.), you must merge them before importing them to the router. Please refer to this FAQ for merging instructions: Manually create the unified format for OpenVPN profile(CyberGhost OpenVPN Server).

For detailed setup instructions, see: How to install a VPN on TP-Link Wi-Fi Router(For expressVPN,nordvpn, etc).
