Hi, can anyone please advise on a cist effective mains powered TP device to convert ethernet (via a switch) to wifi 2.4ghz but duel band is fine.

Almost any wireless router can work aa an AP - here's a guide on that.

If you have a spare one, you could re-use it as an AP - most cost effective.

There's also an option to get a dedicated AP - here are the models.
