Set high priority
Hi I have just installed the Deco X10 mesh. When looking at the settings there is a "high priority " setting and it asks to set a band width of between 0 and 1000. How do I know what number to enter ? And what benefit would it give.
thanks for any help

Thanks for reaching out! I understand that you want to know what number to enter for the bandwidth setting when using the "High Priority" (QoS) feature on your Deco Mesh system, and what benefits this provides.
About the Bandwidth Setting:
The bandwidth value you are asked to enter should match your actual internet speed as provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). For example, if your internet plan is 300 Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload, you should enter those numbers in the corresponding fields. If your Deco only asks for one number, enter the download speed.
How to Find Your Bandwidth:
• Check your internet bill or contact your ISP to confirm your subscribed speed.
• Alternatively, you can use a speed test website (like speedtest.net) while connected directly to your modem to see your current speeds.
Benefit of Setting Bandwidth in High Priority/QoS:
By setting the correct bandwidth, the Deco system can properly manage and prioritize traffic on your network. When you assign a device as "High Priority," it will get the best possible performance even when your network is busy, ensuring smoother streaming, gaming, or video calls for that device.
Additional Notes:
• QoS (Quality of Service) is only available when Deco is in "Router Mode" and not in "Access Point Mode."
• Make sure the "Total Bandwidth" matches your actual internet speed for optimal performance.
For more details and step-by-step instructions, you can refer to the official FAQ for your Deco model:
