Model: EAP670
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20250326 Rel. 59884

I have an EAP670 that is losing its connection via network cable and automatically connecting to a nearby EAP225 in Mesh mode, even with Mesh mode disabled on the controller.

The procedure was:

Complete reset of the EAP670 and reconnection to the controller;

Tests with other (short) network cables, which resulted in the AP functioning normally;

After reinstalling the AP in its original position (approximately 50 meters of network cable), the problem recurred.

The EAP670's power supply is installed in the rack, next to the switch, and the network cable continues to show an active link on the switch even when the AP loses its connection and enters Mesh mode.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation or have any suggestions for further diagnosis?

  @WalpicarBR

you definitely have a problem with the cable, check the terminations at both ends of the cable, if they are OK then you need to change the cable.
if the access point is meshing then you have not turned off mesh, turn off mesh in site settings to see if that helps.

  @SR.S Yes, mesh is disabled. I suspect it's the network cable. We'll replace the connectors, as it worked normally with a 1-meter cable plugged directly into the POE source. Thanks for your help.
