Tplink account issue

Hi,

I have an issue with my tplink account persistancy. Yesterday I have setup a tplink dynamic dns and so now I need to make sure my account is logged in to my router. But when I open the management panel and try to log in with tplink, it always directs me back to local login password, and of course if I login with local password, there is no tplink account after login and I need to login to my account to see the dynamic dns working. Logging in directly with tplink account worked properly only once during my many tries. Can I do something with it? Or maybe I shouldn't worry and the dynamic dns will be working despite me logging in with local password and not seeing the status?

Hello @Qbsoon ,

Welcome to our community.

Once DDNS is set up correctly on your router, it should continue to function as long as the router maintains its connection to the TP-Link cloud and the DDNS service is active. However, for certain features and for managing DDNS settings, you may need to be logged in with your TP-Link account, not just the local password.

Verifying DDNS Operation:
• Confirm that your DDNS settings are correct by logging into the router's web management interface and going to Advanced > Network > Dynamic DNS.
• Use tools like "nslookup your_ddns_name" or "dig your_ddns_name" on your computer to check if the DDNS is resolving to your current public IP address.
• Make sure Port Forwarding is set up properly if you need to access a local server remotely.
