Firmware Version: 4.20.13

Hi all,

My switch TL-SG2008 cannot identify any clients connected at 100Mbps link speed.

And controller (Windows version 6.0.0.23) says: they're all disconnected and switch ports are displayed online in amber color.

Has anyone the same experience?

@ZoloNN Thank you for your submission,

Are the ports set to Auto-negotiate their speed? Also, if you can test with a PC connected directly to one of the ports. If the PC's network card is set to auto-negotiate its speed, can it be seen by the switch?

What troubleshooting have you done so far?

Hi @NeilR_M,

by default all client access ports are set to auto/auto, except up/downlinks and servers which are set to manual 1Gbps/full duplex.

looking today at my network - the clients are suddenly recognised and deemed online by Controller. I have the feeling, that this is more Controller issue than the switch issue...

and now while checking the configured port speeds, I just realised, there is no possibility in Controller (Windows version 6.0.0.23) to see/change the speed parameters for ETH0 on EAP615-Wall............

@ZoloNN So just to confirm, the issue is that the clients don't show up in the client list, but otherwise maintain connectivity just fine?

Hi @NeilR_M,

connectivity is OK, just the Controller shows data which, to be honest, deviate slightly from reality.

Omada gateways are built on OpenWRT and I had previously used Asus RT-AC66N_B1 at home, which is based on OpenWRT too. I miss the correct data delivered by Asus, for example the DHCP lease list tracking all devices with lease expiration time. Also the unbound DNS server was interconnected with dnsmasq to resolve the DHCP leased hostnames.

The Client list in Controller shows an incomplete list containing a mix of dynamic and static clients....

When at least the complete DHCP lease list would be available via SNMP, it would be great.
