Hi,

I have some concerns about two 10 Gbps ports. I'm wondering if using one for gaming or connecting a PlayStation to this port will be different from the 2.5 Gbps gaming port.

Hello @Sulooo ,

Welcome to our community.

The Archer GE800 V1 feature both 10Gbps and 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports. Technically, both ports provide high-speed wired connections, but the 10Gbps port offers a significantly higher maximum bandwidth than the 2.5Gbps port. For most gaming scenarios or PlayStation connections, the actual bandwidth required is much lower than 2.5Gbps, so you may not notice a difference in gaming performance or latency between the two ports. However, if you have other high-bandwidth applications running simultaneously or plan to use the router for tasks like large file transfers or high-speed NAS access, the 10Gbps port can provide additional headroom. For pure gaming use, either port will deliver excellent performance, but the 10Gbps port is more future-proof and suitable for demanding network environments.

Best Regards.
