Model: Archer AXE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.1 Build 20250717 rel.40472(4555)

Router stopped working last night.

Cycling power resulted in the router staring up and then going completely dark after about a minute.

i reset by pressing the reset button for 10s, and had to reconfigure.

how often can I expect this to happen?
I've had a lot of trouble with it lately dropping off the network and failing to connect to the internet.

shall I just return it?

thanks,

mike

Hello @Captainbeaky,

Welcome to our community.

Do you mean that all lights will be off after you reboot the router? Please try the following suggestions:

1. Use the original power adapter for your router, and try plugging it into a different power socket or outlet to rule out any power supply issues.
2. For comparison, unplug all Ethernet cables attached to the router, and change the Wi-Fi network name to disconnect all wireless client devices. Observe if the self-rebooting or shutdown issue persists when no devices are connected.

If the issue continues after these steps, please contact TP-Link support and provide the results of your troubleshooting. They can help determine if your router can be repaired or if it needs to be replaced.
