Model: Archer VX1800v
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 0.13.0 2.0.0 v6092.0 Build 240925 Rel.11089n

I've recently set up this device and during the setup, I set the password to log into the router as the same as my TP-Link account password which is the same as my wi-fi password.  I want to change the admin password on the router itself, so googled how to do this, however there is no option in advanced>system tools>administration to do this, despite the help on the web portal stating that there should be.  This is what I am seeing. As you can see, its completely missing.  I have set up a manager account using another email address and logged into using that, and it's still missing.  How do I change just with admin password on the router?  And why would this be missing from the interface?

thanks

The setting you're refering should found here:

If you logged into the router with your TP-Link ID and password, do the following:

Log out from the router WebGUI.

Click on Local Password:

Then enter your local Administrator password.

Upon successful login, go to the Administration menu from my first screenshot and change your local password.

If this was helpful click on the arrow pointing upward to make it blue. If this solves your issue, click the star to make it blue and mark the post as a "Recommended Solution".

thanks for this, I had also logged in with local password but because during setup I had chosed local password same as TP-Link ID option.  It still wasn't showing.  I did manager to break that connection by changing the TP-Link ID password and now I have the option.
