Garden room and Deco x55
Hi
All advice gratefully received.
I have purchased a Deco x55 mesh system to replace my existing Deco M4R units. We have just had sky internet upgraded to 1gb speed and want to get a stable connection to the garden room.
The signal is poor due to I believe the room being constructed in aluminium.
I have got all the new units connected and also added the M4R's into the network as i thought this would help?
Signal is strong everywhere except the garden room (weak) I thought i could add a powerline (TP Link TL-WPA8631P(UK)
All lights are green on the powerline but if link it to the computer via ethernet it is very very slow.
I assume the problem is the Powerline is going into a plug socket on the floor and due to its shape i have had to use an adaptor. is there an adaptor i can use that wouldnt cause issues? I cant turn the socket around due to the metal cover however before i get an electrician in I would want to know it would work?
If i plug an ethernet cable into the back of the deco x55 it still shows as wifi connected but the other units lose connectvivty and can go off line. Teh wifi signal does not improve?
It still shows as weak. Ive told my wife im not going back in until ive sorted this and it seems its going to be a long night.
Any suggestions gratefully received
