Hello,

I have an OC400, an ER8411, and two TL-SX3008F switches.
Is it possible to use two of the OC400’s SFP+ 10 Gb ports to connect the switches, and then connect the OC400 to the ER8411’s 10 Gb port using TL-SM5220 modules/cables?

Thank you,

Thanks for posting here.

Theoretically, there should be no issue. As long as the wiring is convenient and the configuration is manageable, it should work fine. By default, the ports on the OC400 are interconnected, like an unmanaged switch.

Hi @k1mu,

Am I understanding your topology correctly... it sounds like you're physically placing the OC400 between your router and switches?  Technically, I think the OC400 would function like an unmanaged switch when wired up this way, but it does seem odd given the context provided.  Also, I you wouldn't have enough SFP+ ports on the oc400, so cat6 to the ER8411. The DAC cable can be used to connect the switches if nearby.
