Hey everyone,

I’m having an issue and I could really use some help.

I’m currently trying to connect my TP-Link SG105S switch to the Archer C20 router that is being used here in the apartment. In my room I only have one LAN port, which is why I wanted to use the switch to provide internet to multiple devices.

The problem is:
Whenever I plug the LAN cable from the wall into the switch, the LED on the SG105S keeps blinking continuously, as if it’s detecting a loop or something similar.

Is there anything I need to enable or change on the router to stop this “loop” behavior?

Or what exactly is causing this issue?

For context:
The Archer C20 itself receives internet from a MEO GR141IG modem/router.

I would really appreciate any help or ideas on how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Does the LED on the switch already start blinking when you only connect one single LAN cable from the switch to the wall socket?

Or do you also have other devices connected to the switch when the LED blinks?
