Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 20250815

Hi!
need some help figuring this out.

2.4Ghz router connection never starts or scans automatically at start up.

I always have to scan the 2.4Ghz connection to the router manually.

all the best from Lisboa

Hello @hz311 ,

Welcome to our community.

Do you mean that after the RE505X reboots, you need to connect the clients to the RE505X's 2.4Ghz band, or that the RE505X will not automatically reconnect to the router's 2.4Ghz band?

For the first case, please try changing the SSID on the RE505X to a different name.

For the second case, please try changing the SSID of RE505X to match the router's SSID.

Yesterday
hello Joseph-TP thank you for reply. It was the second case. Tried to match the SSID as you suggested, but didn't work. Changed HIGH SPEED to MANUAL and to TRANSMIT ONLY THE 5GHZ BAND (seemed faster than 2.4GHZ). I wonder if I'm loosing speed by not having HIGH SPEED on AUTO.

Hello @hz311 ,

Do you mean the wireless settings on the router? Is it a TP-Link router?

Without specific screenshots of the settings, I'm afraid I can't directly determine if the anomaly is caused by the settings.

Is everything running stably now? If so, I suggest you keep the current settings and continue to observe for a while.

Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
