Deco X50 Pro - missing backup Internet and signal strength dBm values
HI TP-Link Community and Team!
I had a Deco network with 6 Deco Units : 3x Deco X50 and 3x Deco X20, I used the Internet Backup function to have backup link from another WIFI connection - what is a must in my scenario.
I decided to replace X20 Units with X50 PRO as they are AX3000 (vs AX1800 @ X20 ) and have 2x 2,5G ethernet ports. I wanted to use 2.5Gb as backhaul connection between two units and upgrade my ISP Internet connection to 2Gb.
The problem starts when I replaced old main X50 with new X50 PRO because I lost option to have Internet backup:
On the related knowledge article: https://www.tp-link.com/pl/support/faq/4246/ (How to set up Internet Backup on your Deco) there are no list of supported devices but for me that is a bit strange that "standard" X50 has such support and the PRO version does NOT. (all the X50 & X50 PRO are on the latest available firmware release - visible on the below screenshots).
For the time being, I have reverted to the X50 as the main device, hoping that this functionality will be added soon, unfortunately losing internet, ethernet and backhaul connection speed.
Another missing thing is signal strength dBm status:
On the standard X50 once you go to satellite status, I can click on the signal strength icon whats triggers dBm value:

On the X50 PRO it does not work - no dBm info

In addition WiFi clients connected to X50 PRO always shows -100dBm even the signal is excellent:

Clients connected to X50 have valid values there.
The dBm values are really helpful with setting best placement for units and adjustments - I really miss them.
I was sure that X50 PRO version have at least the same functionality as the X50 "regular" - so as mentioned I am really surprised.
Is anyone on the community who own X50 PRO and could confirm these limited functionality reported by me?
@David-TP Could you help me? Could these limitations in the X50 PRO compared to the X50 be addressed in future firmware releases?
Thank you in advance!
