Model: RE220BE
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20250804 rel.72909

Hi everyone, I need some help. A few days ago I purchased a Wi-Fi extender, model RE220BE. I installed it, and it works well with smart TVs, smartphones, and other devices. However, when I try to connect my HP Pavilion laptop, I see the extender's Wi-Fi line. I click on it, but instead of connecting, the "No network" symbol appears (see attached photo), and the following text appears above it: No network available No connection and the laptop doesn't show any other networks. I've already reset the network three times, but nothing has changed. The laptop is up to date, both in terms of OS and drivers. Can anyone help me fix this? Thanks a lot.

Hello @Cyborg63,

Welcome to our community.

As you mentioned, all other devices can connect to the RE220BE's network. If the laptop cannot access the network from RE220BE, and the laptop is also unable to connect to other wireless networks. It is more likely that the wireless network adapter has stopped working.

You should consider contacting the laptop's technical support for further assistance.

  @Joseph-TP

Sorry, but I didn't mention that my router/modem is located on the lower level of my house and the extender is upstairs. If I take my laptop downstairs, it connects to the router perfectly. I tried moving the extender near the router and then trying to connect the laptop, but it gives me the same problem I described in my first post.

Hi @Cyborg63 ,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Have you set a static IP for the laptop on the router?

And please check the laptop's Network settings to see if there are any limitations for different networks. For example, have you set the laptop's security type to WPA3 but set it to WPA2 for the extender?

On the extender, please check whether you have enabled access control: How to set access control on my range extender?
